DevOps Engineer - AWS (m/f)

Job summary

• We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented DevOps engineer with 3+ years experience with AWS and various orchestration tools such as ECS and K8S to help operate software solutions in the cloud.
• You are used to working with complex problems, determining solutions and applying your knowledge of platforms, networking, security and automation to solve them.
• You’ll help define infrastructure and deployment architecture as well helping to specify monitoring, metrics, and analytics opportunities while working with key stakeholders to help us deliver both single and multi-tenant applications to customers.

Stuff you will do

• Collaborate with developers and departments to ensure high quality software and timely deliveries
• Combine and drive infrastructure and application key metrics for faster problem solving and deployment
• Setup, monitor and optimize application availability
• Define and measure deviations from various kinds of application baselines
• Setup and drive configurations of APM tool
• Develop and monitor efficiency of pipelines
• Drive and measure infrastructure cost optimizations
• Maintain documentation for new and existing systems and procedures
• Maintain and enhance existing systems based on user feedback
• Optimize performance and scalability as necessary to meet the business goals of application and environment
• Take on other assignments and responsibilities as necessary

Education and experience

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

The nitty gritty skills needed

• In-depth demonstrable experience of product deployment in Cloud
• Deep understanding in Docker containers
• Solid experience in Kubernetes
• Experience in building secure, robust network and platform infrastructures
• Experience in automating AWS infrastructure deployments with CloudFormation, Code Deploy, Helm etc.
• Experience in developing scripting in various languages e.g. Python, PowerShell etc.
• Understanding of agile development best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, fluid technical environment
